Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 2024

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of the website operated by Raqito and the booking of corporate team building services offered through it. By placing an order or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use this website or our services.

1. Who We Are

This website is operated by Raqito, a business providing corporate team building events and related services.

For any question, complaint, or request relating to these Terms or to your personal data, please contact us using the details above.

2. Placing and Confirming an Order

Enquiries and bookings for corporate team building services may be submitted through our website, by email, or by telephone. An order is treated as a request for services and does not constitute a binding contract until we have confirmed it in writing, by email, setting out the agreed scope, date, price, and any special conditions.

We reserve the right to decline any booking request, for example where the requested date is unavailable, where the requested service cannot reasonably be delivered, or where we have reasonable grounds to doubt the accuracy of the information supplied.

It is the client's responsibility to check that all details in the booking confirmation (dates, number of participants, location, and requirements) are correct and to notify us promptly of any discrepancy.

3. Prices, Payment and What Is Included

All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP) and, unless stated otherwise, are exclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT), which will be added at the applicable rate where required by law.

A written quotation or confirmation will specify what is included in the price (for example, facilitation, venue coordination, materials or equipment) and what is excluded (for example, travel, accommodation, catering, or venue hire, unless expressly stated). Any services requested outside the agreed scope may be subject to additional charges, to be agreed in advance.

Payment terms, including any deposit required to secure a booking and the balance due date, will be set out in the booking confirmation or invoice. Failure to pay by the agreed date may result in suspension or cancellation of the booked services.

4. Cancellation and Complaints

Cancellation requests must be made in writing to [email protected]. Depending on how close the cancellation is to the confirmed event date, we may retain all or part of any deposit or payment already made, to cover costs already incurred or committed on the client's behalf (such as venue, staffing, or equipment arrangements). Specific cancellation terms and applicable notice periods will be set out in the individual booking confirmation.

We may cancel or reschedule a booking in exceptional circumstances beyond our reasonable control (see Section 5). In such cases, we will contact the client as soon as reasonably possible to arrange an alternative date or a refund of any sums paid for services not delivered.

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our services, please contact us at [email protected] with details of your concern. We will acknowledge complaints promptly and aim to investigate and respond within a reasonable time. Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights you may have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, where applicable.

5. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability which cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales.

Subject to the above, our total liability arising out of or in connection with any booking, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the services giving rise to the claim.

We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, nor for delay or failure to perform our obligations resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including venue unavailability, extreme weather, or other events of force majeure.

6. Cookies

This website uses a single cookie, named consent_mode, which stores your cookie consent preference for a period of one year. No other cookies are set by this website. There is no analytics tracking of any kind on this site.

Advertising measurement is only activated after you have given consent, and only operates on the booking confirmation page.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you have concerns about how your personal data is handled that we have not resolved to your satisfaction, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the United Kingdom's supervisory authority for data protection matters.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. The version published on this website at the time of your booking will apply. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
